Mui Fatt Sponsors PE Water Tanks for SMK Pulau Indah Rainwater Harvesting

Project Background & Objective

In early December 2024, Ms. Nurul Syamil from the Environmental Club of SMK Pulau Indah reached out to Mui Fatt to sponsor a sustainable solution for water conservation. The initiative aimed to reduce dependence on treated water for non-consumable usage, such as cleaning and gardening, through the installation of rainwater harvesting systems - Tangki SPAH (Simpanan Air Hujan).

Project Execution and Tank Model Overview

By January 2025, three units of PE Water Tanks (Model BM300/350) were successfully supplied. These tanks are manufactured using rotational molding (rotomolding) technique—known for their strength, weather resistance, and long lifespan. Their sealed, UV-resistant design makes them ideal for storing rainwater hygienically in outdoor conditions.

On 16 April 2025 at 10:00 AM, SMK Pulau Indah invited Mui Fatt for an official inauguration ceremony to commemorate the installation of the rainwater harvesting tanks. Representatives from the school and Mui Fatt gathered to exchange tokens of appreciation, tour the tank sites, and reinforce the shared goal of reducing water consumption and promoting environmental responsibility among students. The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the partnership and symbolized the collective commitment to sustainability.
